System Installations & Upgrades

CBN offer a full installation service on all types of Apple hardware, from a new printer to a fully configured OS X Server with Snow Leopard and terabytes of high speed storage. Whatever your requirements, simple or ultra-complex, we have a quick and competitively-priced solution.

Whether it's your desktop, laptop or server we can install extra RAM memory, upgrade hard drive sizes and speeds, update to the latest operating system / version (including any upgrades or patches) and achieve the best possible configuration - to keep the equipment in peak condition and at best performance. We also transfer data and applications to new equipment and also undertake PC to Mac migration.

Apple Mac Support - out of hours and weekends

We often work evenings and weekends (at a nominal extra charge) to facilitate no down time or disruption whatsoever for busy offices.

Desktops

A typical service would include cleaning all internal components and hoovering out any dangerous dust that can cause overheating, spraying contact cleaner on all interconnect components and logic board rails, and replacing any worn or fraying cables to prevent problems before they occur.

We also install high speed interface cards, eSATA, Firewire, USB2.0, SAS etc.

Laptops

Regular jobs to bring machines up to peak performance include: upgrading RAM memory, installing larger internal hard drives, replacing damaged power sockets or other connectors, installing the latest operating systems, hygienically disinfecting keyboards, cleaning out any crumbs or dust, replacing defective keys (or the complete keyboard), and replacing broken connectors.

Another thing to remember (whether you are using a desktop or laptop, or both) is that Apple recommend the operating system be re-installed every 6 months. Find out more about our Mac maintenance service.

Servers

With daily usage, every few years servers will need their hard drives replaced and operating systems re-installed. For regular and contract clients we remotely monitor network readiness, instantly informing clients of potential issues before they cause costly downtime.
